Description
The ConMed Optimizer® Polypectomy Snare series offers endoscopy teams a full range of oval-loop snares for effective and reliable polyp capture and resection. With options for loop size (Large, Medium, Small, X-Small), wire stiffness (Soft vs Firm), and Olympus-compatible sheath configuration, the Optimizer line provides flexibility to match snare characteristics to polyp size, location, and tissue type.
Each snare features a 2.30 mm outer-diameter sheath and 230 cm working length, making it compatible with standard therapeutic colonoscopes and gastroscopes. The oval loop design offers a balanced closure profile that can adapt to polyp morphology, while soft-loop versions afford gentle capture, and firm-loop versions deliver more cutting force for stubborn lesions.
Optimizer snares are sterile, single-use devices supplied in 10-packs per box.

FAQ:
What are Optimizer polypectomy snares used for?
They’re used during endoscopic procedures to encircle and resect polyps or tissue lesions in the colon, stomach, or other parts of the GI tract.
What’s the difference between Soft and Firm loops?
-
Soft loop: gentler wire, useful for capturing fragile mucosa or small polyps with reduced trauma.
-
Firm loop: stronger wire, better cutting force — preferred for larger or fibrotic lesions.
How do I choose loop size?
-
Large: for bigger polyps or wide-based lesions
-
Medium / Small / X-Small: for smaller or narrow-based polyps, or when precise maneuvering is needed
Are these compatible with standard endoscopes?
Yes — they use a 2.30 mm sheath outer diameter and 230 cm working length, matching standard therapeutic colonoscopes and gastroscopes.
Are these reusable?
No. They are sterile, single-use disposable snares supplied in 10-packs.
